Boiler is Now Fixed

Have been having probs with said boiler for some time now so much so that we were reduced to choosing between freezing our butts off or boiling in Dante's Inferno.  However, my sticky valve, has now been fixed and my boiler and therefore my central heating is now working again.  As an aside, my eldest DS is in the Air Training Corps and they were on manoeuvers last night and some bully thug Cadet Sergeant threw him in a thorn bush and scarred up his little leggy peggy - suffice it to say - the Cadet Sergeant should now beware!!!!

I entered a Cosmo Cricket competition about Surprising the kids but I entered after the deadline and do you know what that fab company have done anyway - sent me a lovely email saying sorry I was too late but are going to send me some goodies anyway.  In this day and age of Indian call centres and couldn't care less attitudes I am astounded, astonished, amazed and of course a little happy that Cosmo Cricket keep their customers happiness at their core.  YOU GO COSMO CRICKET

I know this may seem a bit weird but I opened an online etsy shop www.OscaraCrafts.etsy.com to sell some of my overflowing craft stash and the things I've made with it. However, just received etsy newsletter and now notice that not only do you have to have something really cool, chic, hip and inspiring but that u have to photograph it in amazing light and in a quirky way - I do not know if my tiny little HP photosmart camera and my David Bailey skills r truly up to etsy standards. I wonder if I should start my own online shop site called pigstsy for those of us who do not reach the dizzying standards of etsy?!? Let me know what u think?

Happy Easter all u chaps - may I just take a moment 2 ask everyone 2 remember what Easter is about?  Thanks u all 4 thinking nice peaceful thoughts.  Have held the traditional E Egg hunt only this year Bunny duty was taken over by eldest son Oscar thank goodness - he joined into the spirit of the thing and hid bunny paw prints, rabbit masks and chocolate everywhere.  The littlies really enjoyed it even if it was wet, gloopy, moist and muddy yeuch is a very appropriate sound.  Anyhoo, just finished and Easter Scrapbook with all the pics so enjoy.

When Closies Get Married

Last year, was a year for getting married for my bff and my baby brother. Therefore, I got busy with my needles and made knitted bride & groom bridal trinkets 2 look exactly like the actual bride and groom. Of course, the first time I made the set, for my bff, I didn't quite get the groom's ears right and my kids were in fits. Anyhoo, pics of the actual B & G and the 3d cake memento I made for them. Hope you like them.

Coming soon .... my very first knitted commission - an Alan Dart pattern of a little dog with coat, blankets, bone, chew toy and bed in pinks, lilacs and turquoise ...... watch this space!

Testing Testing 123

Hiya All

Haven't posted ever, but am getting into it again. Have downloaded some backgrounds and blinkies and am testing to see if I did it right - not being a computer geek - so the post is short. Have acquired yet another new disease - menieres - which is really just a posh name for vertigo. My Nan, Mum and 1 of my Sister's have it or had it and so I guess it's just rotten genes -I blame my parents. Anyhoo - have to go - speak soon
